Open a Project

Ready to write? Simply open a new or existing project!


Create a New Project

  1. Select File > New Project OR with the Project widget open, select New Project
  2. Name the project
  3. Name the project's First Document
  4. Select the First Document's template
  5. Select Create
  6. Begin the exhilarating process of writing!

Note: with the Free version of WriterDuet, you can only have three projects (one document per project) at a time. If you have three or more projects in your Portfolio (File > Open Project) and would like to create a new project, you will either need to delete projects to free up space or upgrade to a paid subscription.


Open an Existing Project

  1. Select File > Open Project
    1. Shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl+O
    2. This will open your portfolio
  2. Select the project you wish to open
  3. Select Open
    1. Double-clicking the project will also open it.

OR

  1. Select File > Open Recent
  2. Click to open the desired project
