Send Your WriterDuet Project to ScreenplayProof

You can send your script from WriterDuet to ScreenplayProof for AI-powered proofreading. Accept, reject, and edit suggestions, and your updates will sync with WriterDuet in real-time.

  1. With the desired document open, go to Tools > ScreenplayProof (AI Proofreading) in WriterDuet
  2. Select Start Your ScreenplayProof Analysis
    1. Each proofread costs $20 per script.
    2. Note: If you edit your script in WriterDuet after running a proofread, you will need to purchase a new proofread to analyze the updated version.
  3. After purchasing, the AI proofreader will begin analyzing your script
    1. A typical feature-length screenplay takes about one hour to process.
  4. You will receive an email once the proofread finishes
    1. You can also check the status at any time by returning to Tools > ScreenplayProof (AI Proofreading).

Approve Changes in ScreenplayProof

ScreenplayProof suggestions appear in a separate report, not directly in WriterDuet. Once the proofread finishes, you will need to open the report in ScreenplayProof to review and apply changes manually.

  1. Go to Tools > ScreenplayProof (AI Proofreading) in WriterDuet
    1. Or select View Report from the notification email.
  2. Select Go to report next to the completed proofread
  3. Review each suggestion and choose to:
    1. Accept to apply the change
    2. Reject to keep your original text
    3. ✏️ Edit to adjust the suggestion manually
  4. Your approved changes will automatically sync with your linked document in WriterDuet

Enable ScreenplayProof Revision Tracking

Revision colors and asterisks will appear in WriterDuet when changes are made in ScreenplayProof, making it easy to track edits.

  1. Go to Tools > ScreenplayProof (AI Proofreading) in WriterDuet
  2. Check the box for View Revision

Disable ScreenplayProof Revision Tracking

If you prefer not to see revision tracking for your ScreenplayProof edits, you can turn it off with the following steps:

  1. Go to Tools > ScreenplayProof (AI Proofreading) in WriterDuet
  2. Uncheck the box for View Revision

Download Your ScreenplayProof Script

If you used the WriterDuet ↔ ScreenplayProof integration, you can export the updated version directly from WriterDuet. If you manually uploaded your script to ScreenplayProof, you can take these steps to download the corrected version to your device.

  1. Log into your ScreenplayProof account
    1. If you have a WriterDuet account, use the same credentials.
  2. Select the script from the left sidebar
  3. Select Download in the upper righthand corner
  4. Choose your preferred file format:
    1. WriterDuet
    2. Final Draft
    3. Fountain

Don't have a WriterDuet account? No problem! You can use ScreenplayProof separately by uploading your script at ScreenplayProof.com.
