Join a Project

All subscribers can join an unlimited number of projects! You can be invited through a direct email from the collaborator, or through a link shared by the collaborator via email, text, or messaging app.

Accept an Email Invitation

Your collaborator can invite you through your email address. You will receive an email and an in-app notification. 

  1. Go to your email
    1. If you did not receive the email, check your alternate email inboxes (Spam/Junk, Promotions, etc.) and make sure your collaborator entered your email correctly.
  2. Click the link 
    1. This will open WriterDuet in a new tab
      1. If you do not have an account, you will be asked to create one
      2. If you have an account but are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in
      3. If you are already logged into your account, it will prompt you to join the project
  3. When prompted to join, select Join project
    1. You will now have access to the project and all of the documents, depending on the permissions set by the project admin who invited you.
    2. Once a user joins a project as a collaborator, they can access/open that project at any time via their Portfolio.



Join through an In-App Invite Notification

  1. Open your notifications
    1. Depending on the layout you can view notifications through
      1. Your user icon in the bottom left of the display
      2. The bell icon in the top right of the display
  2. Click the invite notification  
  3. When prompted to join, select Join project
    1. You will now have access to the project and all of the documents, depending on the permissions set by the project admin who invited you.
    2. Once a user joins a project as a collaborator, they can access/open that project at any time via their Portfolio.


Your collaborator can send you a shareable link for you to join the project.

  1. Click the link
    1. This will open WriterDuet in a new tab
      1. If you do not have an account, you will be asked to create one
      2. If you have an account but are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in
      3. If you are already logged into your account, it will prompt you to join the project
  2. When prompted to join, select Join project
    1. You will now have access to the project and all of the documents based on the permissions set by the project admin who invited you.
    2. Once a user joins a project as a collaborator, they can access/open that project at any time via their Portfolio.
