  2. Enter the desired name for the line type in the New Type Name field
  3. From the first three drop-downs, select the desired behavior for when you press Enter/Return, Tab, and then Shift + Enter from this line
    1. This means that when you are typing and press the respective key(s) while your cursor is in the custom line type, the next line created will be the one selected here in the drop-down.
  4. From the fourth drop-down, select the line type formatting you would like this custom line type to most closely behave like.
    1. You can adjust the specific formatting for the line type through Customize > Format and Format > Font Settings
  5. Select Create
    1. Your custom line type will now appear at the end of the list in the Line Types widget in your display

Delete a Custom Line Type

  1. Select Format > Line Types > Custom Types

If there are more line types listed then you are actively using, you can hide them from your display. This will only apply to your current document. To apply this to other documents, you can export the template and apply it to any document. See Change Document Template for more details.

  1. Select Format > Line Types > Custom Types
  2. Under Default Line Types in the Include section, select the x to the far right the line type you would like to hide
    1. To add the line type back to the document, select the + to the right of the line type listed in the Hidden section
