Log In & Out
Log In
Be sure you are using the correct email to log in. It is Free to create an account, so it is possible to create an account with any email address, even if you already have an account under your name. Accounts are registered by the emails used to log in.
- Go to www.writerduet.com
- Select Login
- Enter your email address
- Select Next
- Enter your password
- Select Sign In
Log Out
Only log out after you have ensured your content has synced. You can check this by hovering over the save icon in the left sidebar or top-right of the display. This will display the last online and offline save. For more about saving your work, see Save a Project.
- Select your Account icon
- Select Logout

- Select your Account icon
- Select Account Information
- Select Logout

- Select Help > Logout
Forgot Your Password
If you are trying to log in and realize you forgot your password, you can get a reset link sent to your email from the login window. If you use Google or Facebook authentication, you will need to reset your password through the appropriate site.
- Enter your email
- Select Next
- Select Trouble signing in?
- Select
- A reset link will be emailed to the address on the account
- Select Done
- Go to your email and select the link
- You will be prompted in a new tab to enter a new password
- Select Save
- Close the tab
- Go back to WriterDuet and log in with your new password
Cannot Log in OR Logging in Shows Blank Display
Option 1: Log in through Incognito If you have logged in and things aren't displaying properly, try logging in through an incognito window.
- Open a separate private/incognito window.
- Go to www.writerduet.com
- Enter your login information
- If you are displaying properly, go back to your regular browser and log out and back in.
Option 2: Clear Cache and Bookmarks Your browser could be directing you to an outdated version of the app.
- Clear your browser's cache and any WriterDuet bookmarks
- Go to www.writerduet.com
- Enter your login information
Option 3: Update Desktop App The desktop app could be out of date.
- Go to Help > Check for Updates
- Select Check for Updates
- If there is an available update, allow it to finish downloading.
- Go to Help > Logout to fully log out and then log back in.
- This will ensure the update has applied to the app.
